Botanicals

I have been a fan of botanicals for a long time. Back in college, many, many, years ago I had to take a botany class. The lab part of that class consisted of finding and classifying 70 flowering plants. After we used our dichotomous keys and figured out what our specimens were, we would double check by going into this vault, that was temperature and humidity controlled and housed thousands of specimens. This was, by far, one of my favorite college classes ever.

Anyway, I wanted to hang some in the kitchen in the new house. I found the ones above at Vintage Antique Prints and just printed them out on card stock and stuck them in Dollar Tree frames that I distressed a little. I only had 2 frames on hand so, I will need to go back and find some more, unless I find some cute ones while thrifting.

I may even hang more. I really need to be in the house, a little before, I know exactly what I want. If anyone has a good site for more botanicals, please share.

Hi,
I wandered over from New Friend Friday. Believe it or not I was looking at botanical prints on the same website about an hour ago! I would really like to find some vintage seed packets, but they don't seem to be public domain! :(
I think we have "met" before, through the same party even!? I love the way your botanical prints look in the frames and thanks for the aluminum foil tip!

The only thing I know about botanicals, sadly, is how to kill them.

I love your prints! I like botanicals too, but am not nearly as knowledgeable about them as you are! These are beautiful, and that class does sound like a great one!
