Boom Boom Pow

Boom Boom Pow. I love the Black Eyed Peas and all day that song was in my head.

This picture was taken on the 16th. Half the forms were up.

This picture and the next 2 were taken on the 17th.

Between each layer of forms, rebar is laid down too. This and the styrofoam make the walls 10X stronger than a concrete block foundation.

The walls are 8ft high.

This picture was taken on the 17th. It was really windy this day. The forms were moving around a little. I had a vision of coming to the lot the next morning a seeing the forms blown out of the hole.

But, when we came over the hill, I saw this. Boom Boom Pow. A much better sight than my vision.

Phil and Jesse filling her up.

They fill up the forms in layers so, the concrete settles a bit in between layers.

Boom Boom Phil.

The man on the left is controlling the boom and moving it where Phil needs it.

Here is his remote. The guy said he plays video games with his kids to help him hone his skills with the boom control.
Jesse smoothing her out.

The guys just finished tamping the ground. Tomorrow morning the floor is being poured.

In this video I am standing at the tree line that is 2/3rds of the way back on our lot.

The boom truck is here. Yay. Johnsie thought that it was the coolest thing.

Shadow play.

Finishing up with the cement.

First let me tell you that I'm singing Boom Boom Pow in my head while I'm writing this.... and second let me say that I agree, the Boom Truck IS the coolest thing ever!

Now I have that song stuck in my head.
There's something interesting about looking at forms. I don't know what it is.
